The Truth Project is an interactive workshop in which data from Year13’s After the ATAR 1 & 2 is synthesised into a combination of stories, videos, interactive data displays and practical exercises to help youth with the school to work transition.
In 2018, we partnered with the federal government to develop the program to a multi-faceted solution to youth unemployment and disengagement. We’re aiming to empower students into the transition from school into further study and employment. To determine the effectiveness of the programme, we surveyed the participants about Truth Project visits and by crunching the numbers we found that after completing The Truth Project, 84% of students said they have a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, 83% of students feel they now know how to create a more realistic career plan, 90% of students feel they know how to use data to make career decisions and 88% of students want the Truth Project back in their school next year.
